Let’s Talk About Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer
As an outdoor and tactical gear specialist, I’ve seen countless attempts to integrate technology into recreational spaces. Few succeed elegantly, and even fewer manage to address the practicalities of installation. The Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer aims to solve a common problem: shallow mounting depths for the Fusion Sound-Panel speakers in RVs and other recreational vehicles. It promises a clean, professional install without the need for invasive cutouts, and that’s something worth exploring.
My need arose during a recent RV renovation project where I wanted to upgrade the existing audio system. The available wall cavity was surprisingly shallow, preventing flush mounting of my chosen speakers.
Upon unboxing, my initial thought was, “Simple, yet effective.” The spacer is made of white plastic, and feels sturdy enough for its intended purpose. The build quality appears consistent, with no visible imperfections.
Compared to fabricating my own spacers or attempting a risky wall modification, the Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer presented the most appealing solution. Universally sized third-party spacers lack the tailored fit and aesthetic appeal of a product designed specifically for the Fusion Sound-Panel. This product appeared purpose-built.
My first impression was cautiously optimistic. I was excited by the potential for a hassle-free installation, but the true test would be its performance in the field.
Real-World Testing: Putting Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer during the installation of a Fusion RV-FS402W Sound-Panel in my travel trailer. The install took place in my garage with the vehicle inside.
The conditions were ideal: dry and well-lit, but the cramped RV interior presented its own challenges. The Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer was easy to use, as there was no learning curve. Installation involved aligning the spacer with the Sound-Panel and securing it to the wall.
After the first-time use, I noticed the speaker now protruded further from the wall than I had originally anticipated. However, the sound was great and the installation was quick and clean.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several trips and a few months of use, the Fusion RV-FS41SPW Sound-Panel 41mm Mounting Spacer has held up perfectly. There are no signs of wear and tear, and the spacer remains securely mounted.
Cleaning is a breeze, as the smooth plastic surface wipes clean with a damp cloth. Compared to previous speaker installations, this was by far the easiest and most professional-looking.
