This lure boasts a minnow profile, the universally recognized dinner bell for a wide range of predatory fish, and Berkley’s reputation for creating fish-catching machines certainly piqued my interest.
My fishing buddy, Dale, kept boasting about his success using Flicker Shads and Flicker Minnows. I needed a reliable trolling lure to target walleye in deeper water, and he swore by the Flicker Minnow’s ability to get down quickly and trigger strikes. The lure’s Pink Lemonade color and aggressive wiggle seemed like the perfect combination for enticing those finicky walleye.
Upon receiving the lure, I was immediately impressed by its finish and solid construction. The Fusion19 hooks felt incredibly sharp right out of the package, and the overall build quality seemed robust enough to withstand repeated encounters with toothy predators. The plastic clam/blister packaging kept it safe during shipping.
I’ve used similar minnow-style lures from brands like Rapala and Yo-Zuri. While these are typically high-quality, the Berkley FFMN11D-PL Flicker Minnow 11cm 1373175 promised similar performance at a more accessible price point. This made it an attractive option for stocking up my tackle box without breaking the bank.

Real-World Testing: Putting Berkley FFMN11D-PL Flicker Minnow 11cm 1373175 to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Berkley FFMN11D-PL Flicker Minnow 11cm 1373175 on a recent walleye fishing trip to Lake Erie. The conditions were moderately choppy with slightly stained water, typical for early summer on the lake. I deployed it as part of a trolling spread behind a planer board, targeting depths of around 20 feet.
The lure performed admirably in the conditions. Its action was consistent and vibrant even at slower trolling speeds, and it tracked straight without any noticeable wobble or deviation. Within the first hour, the Flicker Minnow produced two solid walleye, proving its fish-catching capabilities.
The lure was surprisingly easy to use right out of the package. I simply tied it to my leader and deployed it behind the boat. No tuning or adjustments were necessary, allowing me to focus on fishing.
The only minor issue I encountered was a slight tendency for the lure to pick up weeds in shallower areas. This is a common problem with diving lures, but something to be aware of when fishing in weedy environments.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of use, the Berkley FFMN11D-PL Flicker Minnow 11cm 1373175 continues to impress me with its durability and consistent performance. The finish has held up remarkably well despite numerous encounters with rocks, docks, and the sharp teeth of walleye. The Fusion19 hooks remain sharp and haven’t shown any signs of corrosion.
I’ve noticed only minor scratches on the lure’s body. This is impressive considering the abuse it’s endured. Cleaning is simple; a quick rinse with fresh water after each use is all it takes to keep it in top condition.
Compared to some of the more expensive lures in my tackle box, the Berkley FFMN11D-PL Flicker Minnow 11cm 1373175 has definitely exceeded my expectations. It performs just as well, if not better, than some of its higher-priced competitors.
