I was looking for a way to improve the accuracy of my Glock 34, which I primarily use for target shooting and occasional competitions. The stock barrel was acceptable, but I knew there was room for improvement and I wanted to explore the potential of my pistol with a match-grade barrel. The fluted and threaded design of this L2D Combat barrel also piqued my interest, offering both functional benefits and aesthetic appeal.

However, the OpticsPlanet Exclusive L2D Combat barrel offered a similar level of quality and features at a slightly more competitive price point, making it a compelling choice. The positive reviews and the fact that it was an OpticsPlanet Exclusive sealed the deal for me.

First Use Experience
I initially tested the OpticsPlanet Exclusive L2D Combat Precision Match Fluted/Threaded Barrel, Glock 34 at my local indoor shooting range. I wanted a controlled environment to assess its accuracy potential. The range offered distances up to 25 yards, and I primarily used 124-grain FMJ ammunition for the initial testing.
The barrel performed admirably even in the somewhat sterile range setting. The slightly increased weight of the stainless steel barrel compared to the OEM one also helped minimize recoil. I noticed an immediate improvement in my groupings at 15 yards.
Installation was straightforward, and the barrel dropped in without any issues. However, I did have to slightly adjust my sights to compensate for the change in bullet impact point. After about 50 rounds, the barrel seemed to settle in nicely, and I didn’t experience any malfunctions or feeding issues.

Compared to the stock Glock barrel, the L2D Combat barrel offers a noticeable improvement in accuracy and consistency.
