Let’s Talk About Hawk Treestands 21 Ft Sasquatch 1.5 Man Ladder w/ Hercules W/ Tip-Up
For years, I’ve been chasing that elusive whitetail buck, and a reliable treestand is as crucial as a good rifle. The Hawk Treestands 21 Ft Sasquatch 1.5 Man Ladder w/ Hercules W/ Tip-Up caught my eye with its promise of a spacious platform, robust construction, and the Hawk Treestands reputation for quality. I was looking for a stand that could comfortably accommodate me and my gear during those long sits, and one that I could trust to hold up in the unpredictable weather of late-season hunts.
My aging knees are a testament to years spent scaling trees, and the promise of the Safe-Tread Ladder Steps was a major selling point. The Hercules W/ Tip-Up system also seemed like a safer, more efficient way to set up and take down the stand, eliminating some of the risks associated with traditional ladder stands. My initial thoughts were that this stand seemed well-engineered and built for serious hunters.
I considered the Muddy Outdoors Boss Hawg and the Millennium L-110, both popular ladder stands known for their comfort. However, the Sasquatch’s MEGA Series Tubing and oversized platform convinced me that it offered a superior level of stability and roominess. I was excited to get it into the field and see if it lived up to the hype.
Real-World Testing: Putting Hawk Treestands 21 Ft Sasquatch 1.5 Man Ladder w/ Hercules W/ Tip-Up to the Test
First Use Experience
I tested the Hawk Treestands 21 Ft Sasquatch 1.5 Man Ladder w/ Hercules W/ Tip-Up on a recent whitetail hunt in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania. The first setup was a bit challenging due to the stand’s weight (99lbs), but the adjustable legs helped me level it on the slightly uneven terrain. Climbing the ladder was secure, thanks to the anti-slip custom-molded grip steps.
The stand performed well in the cool, damp conditions, with the Safe-Tread Ladder Steps providing a solid grip even with muddy boots. I did notice that the seat could get a little cold after sitting for several hours, which is to be expected from mesh-style seats. Overall, the initial setup was smooth, safe, and relatively quick.

After several weeks of use, the Hawk Treestands 21 Ft Sasquatch 1.5 Man Ladder w/ Hercules W/ Tip-Up has held up remarkably well. There are no signs of significant wear and tear, and the stand feels just as stable as it did on day one. The powder coat finish has resisted rust, despite exposure to rain and snow.

Compared to my previous treestand, which required constant tightening of bolts and touch-up painting, the Sasquatch is a breeze to maintain. It definitely outperforms my old setup in terms of stability, comfort, and ease of use.
