Let’s Talk About Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks
The Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks is a simple, yet effective upgrade designed to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of your Glock pistol. This unassuming kit fills the void in the grip, preventing debris from entering and potentially interfering with the firearm’s internal mechanisms. Ghost Inc offers a practical solution to a minor annoyance that many Glock owners face.
Years of carrying and customizing firearms have taught me that the smallest details can make a big difference. I was looking for a way to prevent dirt and debris from accumulating inside the grip of my Glock 19 Gen4, a common issue especially during outdoor training and competitions. This kit seemed like an inexpensive and easy solution, so I decided to give it a try.
Upon unboxing, the Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks seemed straightforward, comprised of two polymer plugs. The material felt sturdy and the finish was clean, suggesting a decent level of build quality. The plugs are lightweight, which is important as I didn’t want to add any unnecessary weight to my pistol.
Compared to other grip plugs I’ve seen, the Ghost Inc kit stood out because it included two plugs: one for use with and one for use without backstraps. Many other kits only include one plug. This adaptability was a major selling point for me as I often switch between using a backstrap or not depending on my needs.
My first impression was positive. The kit promised a simple solution to a practical problem at an affordable price. I was eager to install the plug and see how it performed in the field.
Real-World Testing: Putting Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks at an outdoor shooting range, a typical environment where I frequently train. The weather was moderately dusty and dry, perfect for evaluating the plug’s ability to keep debris out of the grip. Installation was incredibly easy; it simply pushed into place with a satisfying click.
The plug did exactly what it was designed to do, preventing dust and small particles from entering the grip. I noticed a slight improvement in magazine insertion, as the angled design of the plug seemed to guide the magazine in smoothly. There were no immediate issues or surprises after my first range session.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several months of use, the Ghost Inc Ghost Grip Plug Kit For Gen.4 Glocks has held up surprisingly well. The polymer material has shown no signs of cracking or deformation despite repeated handling and exposure to varying temperatures. It has become a permanent addition to my Glock 19 Gen4.
Durability has proven to be a strong point. There are no visible signs of wear and tear, and the plug remains securely in place, even after hundreds of rounds fired. Maintenance is nonexistent. I occasionally wipe it down with a cloth when cleaning the rest of the pistol.
Compared to not having a grip plug, the difference is significant. The Ghost Inc kit has definitively prevented the accumulation of dirt and debris within the grip, ensuring smoother magazine changes and a cleaner firearm overall. It outperformed my initial expectations, given its low price point.
