Let’s Dive into New Archery Products Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead
The New Archery Products Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead is designed for crossbow hunters who demand accuracy, penetration, and reliable blade deployment. NAP, a name synonymous with quality in the archery world, brings its expertise to the crossbow market with this offering. This broadhead promises to deliver devastating results on big game.
I was looking for a broadhead that could consistently penetrate tough hides at crossbow velocities. I’d had some frustrating experiences with other broadheads failing to open properly or losing blades on impact. The Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead’s reputation for reliable deployment and robust construction drew my attention.
Upon unboxing, the Spitfire CrossbowBroadheads feel solid and well-made. The Diamize blades are exceptionally sharp, and the hardened Trophy Tip appears durable. The spring blade retention system gives me confidence that the blades will stay put during flight, even at the blistering speeds crossbows generate.
I was considering the Rage Hypodermic Crossbow broadhead and the Muzzy Trocar HBX Crossbow broadhead. I chose the Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead because of its reputation for simplicity and reliability. The other two seemed overly complex, and I wanted something I could trust in a high-pressure hunting situation.
My first impression was positive. I felt a sense of confidence holding these broadheads, knowing they are engineered for performance. I was eager to get them on my bolts and see how they performed downrange.
Real-World Testing: Putting New Archery Products Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead to the Test
First Use Experience
I first tested the New Archery Products Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead at my local archery range, shooting into a block target at distances from 20 to 60 yards. The range provided a controlled environment to assess accuracy and blade deployment. I also tested the broadheads in slightly damp conditions after a light rain shower, simulating a typical hunting scenario.
The Spitfire CrossbowBroadheads performed exceptionally well in these conditions. They consistently grouped tightly with my field points, indicating excellent flight characteristics. The blades deployed reliably upon impact, creating a significant entry wound in the target.
The broadheads were easy to install and tune to my crossbow. I only made minor adjustments to my scope to compensate for the slightly different point of impact compared to my field points. There were no unexpected surprises during my initial testing session.
Extended Use & Reliability
After several weeks of continued practice and tuning, the New Archery Products Spitfire CrossbowBroadhead has proven to be incredibly reliable. I’ve put dozens of shots through these broadheads, and they continue to perform consistently. There is no noticeable loss of accuracy or degradation in blade sharpness.
The broadheads have held up well to repeated use, with no signs of significant wear and tear. The blades remain securely attached to the ferrule, and the Trophy Tip shows no signs of deformation. The spring blade retention system continues to function flawlessly.
The Spitfire CrossbowBroadheads are relatively easy to clean and maintain. After each shooting session, I simply wipe down the blades and ferrule with a clean cloth. I occasionally apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the blade pivot points to ensure smooth deployment. These broadheads have significantly outperformed some of the cheaper mechanical broadheads I have used in the past, which often suffered from bent blades or premature deployment issues.
