The SIG SAUER X-Ray3 Pistol Sight Set, No. 6 Green Front, No. 8 Rear, round represents a significant upgrade for handgun owners seeking enhanced visibility and faster target acquisition in various lighting conditions. Manufactured by SIG SAUER, a name synonymous with quality firearms, these sights promise to bridge the gap between traditional sights and high-performance tritium illumination. I’ve spent countless hours on the range and in the field, and I’m always looking for ways to improve my accuracy and speed.
My aging eyes were starting to struggle with the standard sights on my P226, particularly in low light. I needed sights that offered both daytime clarity and reliable nighttime illumination, without sacrificing durability or ease of installation.
The SIG SAUER X-Ray3 sights arrived in a simple, no-frills package. My initial impression was one of solid construction and thoughtful design. The steel housings felt robust, and the tritium inserts glowed with a reassuring brightness, even in a well-lit room. Compared to the Trijicon HD sights and the AmeriGlo Pro-Series, the X-Ray3’s front sight seemed larger and more prominent, potentially aiding in faster target acquisition.
I was immediately excited to get these sights installed and test them out on the range. The promise of improved visibility and faster target acquisition was exactly what I was looking for.
