Let’s Dive into Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight
The Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight is a miniature powerhouse designed for rapid target acquisition in close-quarters scenarios. Pride Fowler Industries, known for its innovative optics, has packed a surprising amount of functionality into this incredibly small package. Its key features, like the automatic brightness adjustment and flip-top battery cover, make it a compelling option for users needing a reliable and unobtrusive red dot.
For years, I relied on larger, more traditional red dot sights. I needed a compact and lightweight optic that wouldn’t add bulk to my AR pistol build. I was looking for something rugged enough to withstand daily use and abuse, yet small enough to remain out of the way.
My initial experience unboxing the SOPS-Compact was impressive; the sight felt incredibly solid and well-made for its diminutive size. The matte black anodized finish gave it a robust feel, and the glass was clear and scratch-resistant. Compared to a Trijicon RMR and Aimpoint Micro T-2, the SOPS-Compact stood out with its unique flip-top battery cover and slightly smaller profile.
I chose the Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight over the others because of its innovative features and reported durability. I was excited to test its auto-adjusting brightness in various lighting conditions. My initial impression was one of guarded optimism; I was eager to see if its real-world performance matched the promise.
Real-World Testing: Putting Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight to the Test
First Use Experience
My first test with the Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight was at an outdoor shooting range, mounted on my AR pistol chambered in 5.56 NATO. The auto-adjusting brightness feature worked surprisingly well, adapting to the ambient light and keeping the 5 MOA dot crisp and clear.
Even in slightly drizzly conditions, the sight remained functional and the lens stayed clear. I didn’t need any time to adjust to using the SOPS-Compact; it was intuitive and easy to zero. The only surprise was how quickly I was able to acquire targets, even at distances beyond what I initially expected.

After several months of consistent use, the Pride Fowler Industries SOPS-Compact 5 MOA Compact Micro Red-Dot Reflex Sight has proven to be a reliable and durable optic. There are no noticeable signs of wear and tear despite being subjected to recoil, bumps, and temperature changes. Cleaning is straightforward; a simple wipe down with a microfiber cloth is all it takes.
Compared to other micro red dots I’ve used, the SOPS-Compact has excelled in battery life and environmental adaptability. The flip-top battery cover is a game-changer, making battery swaps quick and easy without having to remove the optic from the weapon. It has exceeded my expectations and become my go-to optic for my AR pistol.
