Hi,
I have a couple of unique guns that I have no idea what they are worth. This gun came from my aunt. This one Shotgun is a Winchester Model 1912 with serial number 99320. IT has a custom handle instead of a full stock and is a 16ga model 18 1/2" barrel with mod on the barrel. My uncle had it in a old leather case that does not have any markings on it. The gun barrel says pat. from July 1896 to the last one showing July 22, 1913. My uncle passed away a few years back and my aunt has no information on the gun. Any ideas would be appreciated.

hello..it appeares your uncle did some customizing on this one ,,from the serial number it tell me it was made in 1946 and was proably a 28"barrel model with a modified choke(mod) on the barrel,,when the barrel was cutdown the choke was removed and now it's proably an open choke,,it looks to me that your uncle may have had this around as a personal defence shotgun.. thats proably why he cut the stock down and the barrel,,value would be more sentimental than actual because although there is value in the parts it doesn't have alot of collector value except in the original parts which would be the forarm and receiver parts,,it could be restored but cost for another barrel and stock would proably be 200-300+ so best bet is to keep it in the family as a rememberance to your uncle,,the case appeares to be a vintage shotgun case from proably around the same time frame and sometime these cases will bring 100+ depending on condition and the maker,,still a very neat old keepsake item that is proably still a good home defence shotgun for around the house..
