Winchester Rifle, Model 94 Value

I have a Winchester Model 94 30/30 rifle with serial number 3925401. Anyone have an idea of the year for this rifle and the approximate value? By the way my uncle has his name in small letters on the left lower side of the gun. It appears he used a old vibrating metal pin writer. My aunt said he did that on some of his old guns. Don't know what that does to value. The Blueing is around 50% but the wood is around 75% for the finish. Old winchester butt plate is around 90%. Any help would be appreciated.

hello again ,,this one was made in 1972 judging from the serial number and appeares to be a standard post 64 model rifle,,there are still many many of these used today for deer hunting and it appeares your uncle did some hunting with it,,the receiver on these were a cast alloy and many i have seen are lacking in blue on the receiver..a good gunsmith may be able to restore it but the cost may outweigh the value..value on this one is somewhere between 250-350 and your uncles name won't hurt the value if you deceide to sell it,,i will tell you that a dealer would proably only offer you between 100-200 for it so if your looking to sell.. i'd try an ad in a local newspaper of free ad paper,,sorry but the post 64 rifles are more a hunting item then a collectors peice,,this is another one i'd proably just put away for future generations to remember your uncle by..just my 2 cents worth
