Winchester Model 94 trapper - did they make a the 30-30 version of the trapper prior to 1964? Does anyone have some insight on the accuracy of the 16" barrel

Gandoff,

The Model 94 saddle ring carbine was available in .30-30 caliber long before 1964. They are rearely referred to as trappers though. That term is usually reserved for the Model 1892 and 1873 short barreled saddle ring carbines. Certainly any SRC with a standard barrel length is NOT called a trapper in any model. The attached link gives a fairly good plain vanilla over view of the Model 1894. Entire books have been written on this rifle. You may get some questions answered from it.

Good luck
