hello made in 1957 and values for post war wincheters are low it seems these days,,i'd estimate if you looking to sell it that you may get in the 300-450 ,,mabey a little higher in the right private party situation ,,i did some research for a friend who has a 1940 winchester and on gunbrokers .com which is one of the largest online gun auction sites,, i saw ww2 era winchester's for bid in the ranges given ,,but most didn't even have bids ,,the models with bids were averaging around 400-500 for 40's era guns ,,now an original winchester in excellent condition will bring good money at auction but the market is flooded with winchesters and the prices are very low in my opinion at this time...and no where near there book values ,,,it's a buyers market right now not a sellers market and alot of people are hurting for cash and are selling them cheap..and as is with most collectables when there only a few the price is up but give people a big selection and the prices fall off,,at one time all you had to say was pre 64 winchester and collectors bought them ,,now it better be correct with original finishes and no sling swivels or extra holes that mr winchester didn't put in it or collectors don't show much intrest and look for nicer ones to spend there money on,,so if your looking to sell it now isn't the right time unless your desperate because dealer's will beat you up on the prices,,and i'd put it away and give the economy a chance to recover and see what happens ..they don't eat anything and ya don't have to keep them very warm this winter,,just oiled up..
