I'll tell you that your rifle was made in 1928. But how to value it is dependent on its condition.
I have seen many 'very good condition' rifles that do not measure up to the valuation criteria that is used commonly. So I would highly reccomend that you post some photos so that I can give you an accurate idea of what the rifle is worth.
Does it have an octagon or round barrel? Is it a sporting rifle or carbine configuration?
