Winchester model 94 25-35 WCF Serial number 1099487

I inherited this rifle. Do you know when it was manufactured? It is in very good shape. I know you can't see it but could you tell me about how much it is worth. Also how readily available is .25-.35 ammo?

Also can you shoot any other ammo with this rifle?

Have they started making many of these again?

Thanks.

Your rifle was manufactured in 1935. You are correct that I can not see it which makes giving you an accurate value a bit difficult. Condition does dominate the value equation but special order items can have a big influence also. A standard octagon barrel, full magazine, with crescent butt in very good condition could be in the $4000 range. But it could vary by thousands in either direction based on condition and just what type of rifle it is. I assume the rifle looks like the attached photo. If it different, sometimes in small ways, let me know.

Yes you can still get ammunition for this gun. Winchester, for one, still makes it. YOU MUST ONLY use .25-35 ammo in it!!! Here is a link for the ammo http://www.winchester.com/products/catalog/ cfrdetail.aspx?symbol=X2535& cart=MjUtMzUgV2luY2hlc3Rlcg==

No, Winchester does not make any of these rifles now. The present company make Winchester "brand" rifles but they are totally different.

If you want a better estimate some photos or a more detailed description of the rifle will be needed.

Thanks
