Winchester model 12, 16 gage

I have a good condition shotgun Winchester model 12 16 gage that is serial number 95451, can anyone give me sale value for insurance (don't want to sell, family hand down).

Also where can I buy shells for it (2 1/2 " by the box and not have to buy them by the case, Thanks, BJ

Your model 12dates back to 1915 production. And yes the 16 guage shells will not be found at Wallmart. My guess is that you will have to go to a finer sporting goods store or order them. But you might be stuck with the case only order size. There just isn't that much demand.

There are different grades of the shotgun with and without ventilated ribs and checkered stocks and premium wood. All of these variations affect the price.

I have seen these listed from $500 to well over $1000.
