Are there any after market replacements for the cheap little plastic rear sight on the model 94? The mounting screws just seem to strip it right out. I had to replace the original one within two weeks of receiving the gun.

I'd eliminate the open rear sight and replace it with a Williams 5D receiver 'peep' sight. If your rifle is not drilled and tapped, that needs to be done.

Why not ask Winchester to replace their sight under warranty?

Hi Mike, Try www.oneraggedhole.com. They make an aftermarket peepsight that replaces the rear sight on a M94. It sells for $24.95, shipping included. I don't have an M94, but did install one on a Ruger Blackhawk. Pretty nifty little sight.

Thanks, this one looks interesting and $25 isn't real bad.
