if in good or better condition i would suggest not having it refinished unless you go a professional route,,values for one in good condition is around 300-500, and values go up from ther as the condition gets better.. but has to be original, yours appeares to be the 22 short only model and many of these were used in the old carnival shooting gallerys where you would shoot the star out and win a prize..it's your call because it's your gun but collector value would greatly drop if sometime in the future you'd deceide to sell it..the way you have to look at it is your grandfather and your father put the scratches and the wear is original from them..if you want a new looking rifle better off looking for one that doesn't have as many memorys to refinish,,you could have the wood redone but if you have it reblued it looses the collector intrest because the rifle is 100+ years old and ya just don't find them in new looking condition anymore unless they have been redone ,,then someone wanders what it looked like before it was redone!
just my 2 cents worth..
