I have a Winchester model 1894 in 38-55. Serial number 14,321. That is not a miss print. 14,321. I'm told it was made in 1894. Its in 75-80% condition. It has a saddle ring and smooth stock. Can anyone tell me what it may be worth. Sorry, it is NOT for sale, no matter how much its worth. Thank you for your help.

Bldwn1,

Sound like you really like this rifle. Yes it was made in 1894. It would be what is termed a Saddle Ring Carbine configuration. I would really like to see some photos of it before I pass judgement on it. If you register and send me a private message I will pass on my email and you can send photos to me. Any chance it has the screw just above and to the left of the loading gate like in the photo below? It could be up to $4000 or $5000 if it all looks good and has a few extras.

You might read the post below for a bit more info.

Thanks

thanks for your time. Yes i do like this rifle. It has been in the family for a long time, maybe all its life. When i have some time i'll get it out and check for the screw. Thanks again.
