I have a Winchester Model 55 .22 Rifle, I have NO idea when it was manufactured or what it is worth. There appears to be a magazine breech under the stock and it also has a single shot loading chamber.
My questions are, Where can I get a magazine? How much is this rifle worth? Where could I find a magazine?
There were approximately 45,000 Model 55 rimfire rifles manufactured between 1957 and 1961 but they were not serialized. Therefore I can not narrow it down any more than that. They are not regarded as highly collectible and therefore the value range is quite low from $200 for a perfect gun down to $75 for a rather poor 50% condition rifle. The magazine breech under the stock is the ejection port for the spent brass casing.
I hope this helps.
Thanks a lot.... I appreciate the information.
it's a single shot....ejected through the bottom by the hand slide loads through the top....hope it helps....probably around $150.00
If you still have it and it is in good, working condition, maybe $150-200. Really not a "collectable." Got photos? Please <phone> or <email>
