i have a model 760 .35 pump and was handed down to me from grandfather which come from great grandfather and i was just curious how old it was because its in excellent shape

Hello,,Remington used a letter code on there rifles and shotguns usually on the left side of the receiver near where the barrel meets the receiver ,,remingtons site has the dates by useing these codes ,,or you could look for them and post them here and we could proably let you know when it was made ,,value for the 760's seem to be averaging 400-500 depending on the condition,,

well on one side theres a small upper case "B" and two larger upper case "AA" and on the other side there is a marking "REP" circled and its seems to look like the letter "W" beside it and then a marking that sort of looks like a pellet and then also the letter "H" thats stamped horizontally

I have the same markings on a rifle i just got. it's a 30-06. i have checked remington date decoders, and there is no year for AA. If you find out please let me know
