Hello,

Your Model 97 was manufactured in August of 1920.

The (P) stamp is the mail order parts marking that Winchester used for parts ordered by outside repair shops.

The superposed "WP" is the Winchester definitive proof stamp, and it indicates that the barrel passed inspection following a 130% proof load firing.

The fact that the barrel is not original to the gun reduces the value by a minimum of 50%. The value is based on which specific variation it is (e.g. Field grade, Trap grade, Fancy grade, etc.), and the graded condition. Without the benefit of seeing the gun (or pictures of it), we can not assess the value.
