YOU CAN GO TO BLUEBOOKINC.COM AND THE MANUFACTURERS ARE IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER AND WINCHESTER IS AT THE BOTTOM. LOOK AT THE MODEL# 1894 AND 150 SHOWS 1948.

Serial # 1,000,000 was made in May of 1948 also.

The accepted date for 1,506,840 is in 1948 and 1,000,000 would actually be 1927. Winchester was producing about 25,000 to 30,000 rifles per year in the model 1894 at that rough time span so they had to be more than a year apart.

If you contact the Cody Firearms Museum you can find the exact date and year of manufacture for your rifles. I can pretty much guarantee that the look up dates are probably a few years off. They are the "accepted" dates but they are incorrect.
