The only identifying information on the rifle is as follows

Remington UMC 30 Cal
REM-UMC
Rem 30
Trademarks 05, 10, 12, 13
Pederson

Can anyone give me more info on this weapon?

Sounds like a Springfield M1903 with a Pederson device. It is an autoloader with a magazine out the top? (looks like it was a bolt action)

No magazine I can find, my friend loaded only 1 or 2 rounds at a time. Doesn;t meanthere isn't a mag that I still need to find. Any way of telling year of manufacture? It is set now as bolt action.

Does it look something like this, if so given a serial no I can tell you when it was made.
