What is this gun worth in excellent condition. Winchester Model 97 pump 12 gauge shotgun?

There is one for sale at a shop here for $895. His prices tend to run high. This gun is far from what I would call excellent. The barrel pretty good as is the wood but the receiver is turning brown. Not a gun I would purchase. If yours is really excellent $1000 doesn't sound to bad.
