what is the value of the 30-06 742

How about some idea of condition and a serial number so that we can at least figure out how old it is.

I have a Remington Model 742 in .30-06 caliber and it is a wonderful rifle. It is in spectacular condition with 98% bluing and one scratch on the wood. The bore is perfect. It has a sling and scope mounted on it.

Something like that would be great. And that really is my rifle. Three generations of my family have killed a dear with it!!
