What is the value of Smith & Wesson, k-38, model 15-3 2" barrel?

I tried carrying a similar 2" off duty (Mod 19) and found it difficult. Assuming the K38 is blue and the snubby is carried concealed it picks up body sweat and corrodes. SS is by far the more ideal way to go.
The K-38 would be better off with a 6" barrel. I saw various barrels for sale in a shop--that would be worth the conversion.
Barrel would be about $115.00
If you have some minimal skills and tools you could do the swap. Or pay another $100.
Then the K-38 (more of a target gun) would be worth around $350.
