the lone star edition was made in 1970 and current prices for it are 495 for the rifle model and 475 for the shorter barreled carbine model ..the issue price for these in 1970 was 140..

The serial# is LS13111, it was bought for me as a boy for a Christmas gift. Is this a 1970 model? Thank you for the information.

hello again ,,yes it should be ,,thats what the book says for the issue date ..but it may have been sold at a later date ,,but 1970 should when they first became available ,,now thats not to say that winchester may not have taken orders on it earlier mabey late 1969,,i don't get into comm guns much they are just too up and down like the stock market,,some go up fast and some just raise slowly or even stay close to the issue price..
