Most likely because these rifles are still readily available new from Ruger and sell in the $640-$750 range. If yours has just been sitting, unfired, it's worth about the same, maybe even a little less by %10 or so.

The scope may add a little value may not. Bushnell scopes vary greatly in quality and price. You'd probably do better selling them seperately, if you're looking to sell.
