what is the estimated value of a 1898 springfield armory rifle serial # 463xxx with a small stamp on the stock right above the trigger with three letters and the date 1908

hello ,,you have a 1989 krag rifle produced by springfiel armory your serial number puts your gun as being a rifle model with a 30" barrel and it would value 800-1000+ in original military configuration.. to a military collector it may even go higher possibly around 1200 if original and not cutdown or refinished in any way,,

I TOO HAVE A U.S. MODEL 1898. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY RIFLE 40466X, WITH SER # ON THE BUTT OF THE WEAPON
IS A LOW 1000 . I TOO AM WONDERING THE VALUE..I UNDERSTAND IT WAS USED IN THE SPANISH / AMERICAN WAR...A PAWN SHOP DEALER TEN YEARS AGO, TOLD ME IT WAS WORTH $ 1,200.00, BUT WOULD NOT BUY IT FOR THAT AMOUNT...I AM WONDERING WHAT IT IS WORTH NOW?
