I'm no dealer, but keep a "hobby eye" on the gun world, so-to-speak. Your gun, I'm thinking, could have been imported into the US anytime from the immediate post war years, up through the mid 1970's. Zabala's (and several other Spanish/Basque gun makers) built shotguns for a bunch of different importers/gun makers, and the big 10's had import names such as Richland, Mercury, Arm's De Chasse, FIE, American Arms, Charles Daly, Interarms etc. etc..

I live in a shotgun-oriented state (SD) and around here a Zabala-made 10 gauge double goes for around $450 to $500 in very-good to top condition, regardless of the importers stamp. I was looking at one myself recently that would fit the "very good" condition category, and the hang-tag read $400.

The gun I refer to was choked full/full, and had 28" tubes, pistol grip and beavertail stocks, extractors, and is embellished with engraving that looks to be mostly, if not entirely, done my a journeyman's hand. Maybe 70% coverage adds much to the guns appeal.

Hope that helps. If your gun is in "good condition" IMH and unprofessional opinion, it should bring perhaps $350 to $400 in a person-to-person sale, and a dealer may give you $275 to $300? Also, consider that Zabala's are generally well-built guns, so if you were to keep it, it should be an excellent shooter. I had an AYA 10 gauge once upon a time, and I had the full/full bored out to mod/mod, (for steel) and the gun became not only a great gun to take wary snows and blues, but I ended-up using it for late season northern mallards as much as for geese. The 10 added approximately extra 10 yards (at least) to the killing range, and it added lots of greenheads and pintails to my bag.

Good luck!
