What is a Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum model 29-3 worth? It is nickel plated with an 8 3/8" barrel. The grip is the wooden version. The serial # is NF41. It has only been to the range about six times and fired about 100 rounds or less. The only slight flaw is a small blemish near the end of the barrel where the nickel finish is scuffed a little.

Hello
NF41 is not the serial number. Your Model 29-3 is probably wearing Target stocks, which cover up the serial number on the bottom of the grip frame. Please remove the stocks and look on the very bottom of the frame. Then report the serial number and we can go from there.
In high condition with no box or accessories, a Model 29-3 with nickel finish is going to carry a value around $500-$600.

JP

Probably. That would put it around 1983-1984.

Yes. And bjornolf is right about the date.
I think my earlier estimate of value is about right if your condition description is accurate.
