Where can I find info on scope mounts and other info for old Springfield 30-06?

Dear Dave: If yours is an M1903, the only or best bases that fit are Weavers, no 54 on the bridge and 55 on the receiver ring. You need to have a trusted gunsmith drill and tap the holes for you, but once done, you can mount just about any scope with rings that fit the Weaver bases. Naturally, your bolt handle will have to be modified too. Mine shoots like a dream with a scope mounted. - CW
