w.h. davenport " the brownie"

I have a .22 cal. lever action. On top of the barrel in front of the rear sight it reads The W.H. Davenport fire arms co. Norwick,Conn U.S.A..& behind the rear sight it reads patened Dec. 15,1881 and Oct. 26,1897. On the left side of the receiver it reads The Brownie. I bought this rifle at a yard sale for $5.00. I'm looking for info and dollar amount? The rifle is poor condition, do to the fact the lever doesn't stay closed and the barrel is pitted, but nt rusty. Not looking to sell just thought it was a nice piece to have around. Thank you.
