Dear Guest
The Model 57 .41 Magnum Target revolver was in regular production from 1964 until 1993; a Mountain Gun version was reintroduced in 2005, with the designation 57-5.
Assuming your gun to be one of the original production guns, the value in NRA Excellent condition would be approximately $575. If it presents in As-new condition and you have the box, paperwork and accessories (cleaning kit & screwdriver), the value is about $650.
Regards,
JP

You answered my question.
Wonder, what someone would have paid for it when they were first made and sold?

Two comments:

1. The closest ad sheet I have readily available is from 1976. At that time the listed retail price of a 4" or 6" Model 57 was $235. I suspect in 1964 when they were first introduced the price would have been around $130 or so. My 1964-65 price sheets are buried in a box somewhere, so that is only an educated guess.

2. The thread you tagged onto here is 4 years old. The price I quoted at that time is, consequently, now quite dated. Current value of an ANIB Model 57 is up in the $800-$900 range. An example with a 4" barrel might run a bit more.
