Hey guys thanks for the help. I have a 12 gauge browning auto 5 I just picked up in a trade and I need to know what its worth. It has a poly choke. It is in good shape. The only number I can seem to find on it is on the reciever and that is b31688. The barrel is in great shape, the wood has a few small scratches. It does not have the gold trigger like some I have seen. Any information you have would really help.Thanks again!

hello,,my refrences dont list a B prefix browning a5,,are yoy sure it's a A-5 and not a "browning patent" shotgun? maybe a remington md 11? just trying to be sure what ya have,,the serial could be an early browning but most ya see don't have prefix letters,,the serial would put it as being made in 1909 but with a poly choke the value would be lower than a a5 with a standard barrel and i'll throw a ballpark figure in here at 250-350,,but double check the serial and the make ,
thanks

my belgium A5 has a serial no. of 69V32554;
its a 12 ga. magnum 3"; I called browning, and they told me it a 1969 model, V= 3" magnum, prod. no. 32554; later japanese models have different serial no. formats.

I had a rem. model 11 that was made under browning patent; the serial no's didn't fit the browning format;

My Browning has a 32" BBL, and the receiver is fully engraved, and says 'MAGNUM' on the receiver; It has the sillouette of J.H. Browning on the left side;
I talked to the Browning Historian (go to browning web site for info), and asked him about value of gun;
He told me $800-$1000; (it's 95-97%)
