hello,,eddystone was the arsenal in eddystone pa where your rifle was originally made ,,the model 1917 was a knock off of the original rifle made for the british during ww1 that was refered to as the p1914 enfield ,,they were pretty much the same rifle except for the caliber which for the british was the 303 british cartridge and for the us 1917 was 30-06..thes rifle wer used in service threw ww2 and many were sporterized after the wars ..if yours is still in military configuration then values would range from around 400-600 depending how correct it is ,,meaning how many (eddystone parts are left on it)and also depending on proof marks on the stock and overall condition,,these prices are to a collector and are greatly effected by the correctness of the rifle and overall condition,,dealers don't pay much more than 150-200 for these old milsurp rifles because they look at them as hard movers ,,if yours has been sporterized then values will be as a sporting rifle and could be higher or lower depending what part of the country your in and how nice it was sporterized ...
