HELLO I am the owner through estate of a Colt M1911 A1 with the markings United States Property #877871 on the right side of the body, g.h.d. marked on the left side of the body uder the slide catch and marked "p" next to and slightly under the magazine release button. The number 80 stamped on the right side of the trigger guard. On the slide it is marked as follows..patented APR. 20, 1897 SEPT.9 1902
DEC. 19,1905 FEB. 14, 1911 AUG.19,1913
the colt seal and, Colt s ptf.AMFG CO.

There is slight rust dammage to the top and right side of the slide because it is in the original issued leather holster that prob housed some moisture over the years...what is an item like this worth and how should i go about getting it apraised?
I would like to deal with someone authentic because there is no doubt that this iron is authentic.Anyone with correct info please help me..
