The Ultimate Test For The Right To Bear Arms

When examining the rationality of allowing citizens to own guns I suppose the ultimate test is whether citizens put the guns to good use by preventing crimes and protecting themselves.

Just found the Civilian Gun Self-Defense Blog that does just that. The blogers document all the reported cases of justified civilian shooting. Of course this is only part of the picture as we also have to examine how much the accessibility of the guns to all wannabe criminal is responsible for the escalation in the gun’s usage.

I know that the argument is that only criminals use guns for the wrong purposes and it is absolutely true but I guess we can make a better job on discerning these people even before they have a rep sheet and certainly after.
