i have a s&w k22 revolver told it is known as a pre model 17 serial #468xx any ideas on build date and or value gun is 95%

To find out about the date your Smith & Wesson was made I advise you to buy an excellent book called "The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" which holds the serial numbers of their products and thus one can easily track down the date.
