Stoeger O/U 12 ga.

Hi Folks,

I saw at a local sporting goods store, the Stoeger Condor I, 12 ga. O/U w/28' barrels. It also comes with 2 chokes. The sale price is $279.99.

I have always wanted an O/U shotgun but they are a little expensive. I am not a hunter, I shoot some trap but would like to try skeet. I am presently using a Winchester 1300 XTR pump.

I would like to know your feelings about this gun, if it's worth buying or is it junk and should I stay away. I would love a Beretta or a Browning but again, a little to pricey for me at this time.

There was an article on the new Stoegers not long ago (April?) in Shooting Times. Stoeger is importing Brazilian doubles. It is a good, serviceable shotgun, and you are getting a real buy at $280. Where was the sale? For that price, I might pick one up myself.
