i have a stevens mod. 335 double barrel 12 gauge needs a stock. is it worth persuing? made march 17, 1907
If it is marked "J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co" it was made before 1920 and, of course, after the 1907 patent date. If it has exposed hammers and twist or damascus barrels, it's primary value is as a mantle decoration (probably $125-$150), but if it is hammerless with fluid steel barrels and 2 3/4" chambers, it could still be a shooter ($250+/-) if checked and approved by a competent gunsmith. JMHO,
thanks for the info it is the hameerless model. r/h
I, too, have a J.Stevens Model 335 double barrel hammerless that needs a stock. Did you ever find a stock for yours? If so, where can I go to get a replacement stock? This gun belonged to my grandfather and may have been used by my great uncle to kill a man. Legend has it that grandfather broke the stock by hitting the gun against a tree when he found out his brother had shot a man with it.
I have a J Stevens Model 335 serial # 25160 that
needs both the barrels and a stock. My biggest need
is for the barrels. What are you asking for your's without a stock? <email>
I too have a Stevens 335 hammerless 30" dbl, March 19, 1907 with a great stock but would be interested in the barrels. Anyone want to sell the barrels?
