Does anyone know the value of a Stevens Favorite? The barrel is marked 22 LONG RIFLE on one side and J. Stevens A & T CO. Chicopee Falls Mass U.S.A. Pat APR 17 94 on the other.
Under the lever is marked T 842. The butt plate is stamped Stevens Favorite. The rifle is in excellent condition with most of the origional blueing still visible. It was bought from an antique dealer in Texas back in the 60's.
Thanks

i'd say your favorite if as clean and the finish is original might bring 300-500 at auction or to a favorite style rifle collector,,if it has a removable side plate on the right side of the receiver it would be worth double the above number and it would be one of 1000 of the first model favorite,,

..the favorite rifles were made from 1893-1939 and there were alot of variations made that can effect the value either + or - ,,over 1000000 favorites were made during the production years
