I have a Stevens 311A 12 gage and I would like to know the age and value. The only kind of markings I can find on it is kj af7. The a and the f both have circles around them.

hello,,i'm guessin the shotgun was made in the 50s and one of the circled letter is the year code but i'm just not sure which one it is,,i'm sure our savage collectors out there will buzz in here,,value for the 311A is in the 300 good -800 if nib at auction or to a double collector,,i see them around these parts in the 200-350 range in private sales

On the bottom of the receiver (just behind where the action breaks) should be a number followed by a letter in a circle. The letter designates the year. A=1949, B=1950 and so on.
