I have a Model 94 with the initials C.H. neatly carved into the front hand guard. The owner of this rifle initials are CWB.
I read somewhere that, someone of note visited the Winchester Plant and inspected and tested indivdidual rifles and then carved their initials on the gun. Could that someone be Chuck Hawks?
