I am considering buying this gun but need to know if it is good investment. Here is what I know about it.

1. On butt, US Army Model 1917, No 126**
2. Cylinder stamp 126**
3. Frame stamp S5518, cylinder swing arm 5518 no S.
4. Diamond pattern knurling on hammer.
5. GHS on side frame under hammer.
6. No United States Property on bottom of barrel.
7. No star on butt or 3 digit number stamped on frame behind handle.
8. Most of the blue is worn off.

Any help with a ball park value would be of great help.
