I was given a Smith and Wesson 38 special and I am trying to learn more about it. I have found a couple of numbers on it but not sure what the model number is.

The barrell and cylinder has what I think is the serial number 839389.

The frame also has the number 74425.

Is it worth anything? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
