I'm looking for information and source of rifle actions with a small thread. I'm told the 'standard' size is 1.05' and the small thread is .90x'. Actions I've heard have small thread are Mexican Mauser, some K98 Mausers, and a Chek G3340. I'm looking for confirmation, correction, and/or further information on any of this.

The pre-1898 Mauser actions such as the 1894/6 Swedish, the 1893 Spanish, the 1895 Chilean, and the earlier Turkish and Belgian models with the protruding straight magazines all share the small barrel shank. Later models using this shank include the 1936 Mexican and the 1903 Turkish, as well as the Husqvarna HVA sporting rifle. Some of the model 1938 Turkish Mausers with large ring actions have the small shank; others are rebuilds of German or Czech M98s and have the larger shank. The Turkish Mausers are common and cheap, you'll just have to check the individual example to see which shank size it uses.

Roy Dunlap's book shows the Mexican Mauser as having a .980' diameter barrel measured across the threads over the chamber. An 8mm German Mauser is 1.100' at the same point.
