Two men attempted to break into a home on the 4100 block of South Hughes in Amarillo, according to the police the homeowner used a long gun to shoot one of the suspects. The other alleged robber managed to run away. The owner of the home went to the police station, as part of the investigation. But police have not made any arrests.
