hello your sears 300 shotgun is basically a winchester 1400 and the 1400 i beleive was a 3 shot autoloader..i don't think theres a plug in the tube ,,but i'm not 100% on that,,i've had a couple 1400's but they were problemamatic with shells feeding properly and don't have them anymore but i think they were just 3 shot,,2 in the tube and 1 in the chamber,,if theres a plug you should be able to hear it rattling in the tube when the gun is empty ,,take the barrel off and then hold the gun by the receiver and move it up and down and see if you hear a rattling if you do theres proably a plug (usually a wood dowel )in the mag tube ,some states have a mag cap regulation and the dowel must be in there in the feild,,if no rattle then there isn't a plug ,,or if you can load more than 3 shells then it isn't plugged,,if you need a plug then you can use a peice of 1/4" dowel row available at hardware stores and it's a trial and error thing cut.. it about 6" and keep trimming it till you can only put 2 shells in the tube..on the poly choke system ,,they were actually designed for all purpose shooting,,and gave the shooter the option in the feild to change chokes for different applications ,,eg modified for rabbits,,full for longer range shots on squirrels and so on ,,values for you shotgun would proably be the same or a little less than a winchester model 1400,,less only because it's marked sears... proably around 200-300 if extra clean and functions good..
