I have a savage 99 in .22 high power. mfg in 1916. The bbl has been bobbed, but the finish is in great condition. Could anyone tell me what the generar value is? I want to scope it and give it to my daughter. Thanks. shooter.

hi shooter,
This is a rifle that i'ld hate to guess at so i'll let you know what i found and you decide. i found a couple in that year that where valued at 800 - 1000, in 303, i also found one in 22 hi power at gunsamerica that they where asking 3500 for. if it where mine i'ld have an appraiser look at it for insurance purposes if nothing else. JMHO
